Terms of Use
Effective July 13, 2026, under Commonwealth of Redmont law.
GnomeStats is a market-data and analytics site for the economy of the DemocracyCraft Minecraft server, operated by GnomeCorp, the estate behind GnomeStack, GnomeFundMe, and GnomePay. It is an unofficial community project, not affiliated with or endorsed by DemocracyCraft or Mojang. Every price on the site is DemocracyCraft server currency and has no real-world monetary value. By accessing or using GnomeStats (the "Service") you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You accept them by using the Service, and continued use is your agreement to the current version. These Terms are governed by, and read consistently with, the law of the Commonwealth of Redmont, including the Contracts Act and its implied duty of good faith and fair dealing.
1. What GnomeStats is, and is not
GnomeStats is a read-only view of the DemocracyCraft economy. A background worker crawls the public Treasury REST API, the same item statistics and ChestShop registry anyone can query, into our own database, and every page reads from that mirror. On top of it we publish screeners, price history, the GnomeStats Index, currency par, deals, and a shop directory.
The Service moves no money, holds no balances or items for anyone, charges you nothing, and takes no part in any trade. There is no wallet here and nothing to deposit, so the custody terms you may know from our sibling sites have no counterpart in this document.
GnomeStats is not a bank, a broker, or a registered financial institution of any kind, and it is not a gaming institution within the meaning of the Gambling Regulation Act: it facilitates no gambling and no trading. It describes a market; it does not run one.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- Browsing requires no account and no registration of any kind.
- Sign-in is optional and exists for watchlists and alerts. It runs through Discord and requests only your basic identity: account id, username, and avatar. We never require real-life personal information, including an email address, as a condition of any feature (Privacy Act s8).
- You are responsible for activity under your Discord account while it is signed in to the Service.
- Redmont law provides that players with low playtime, which it defines as under six hours total, may lack the capacity to fairly enter a contract (Contracts Act s4 and s14). These Terms bind you only to the extent Redmont law allows, and browsing the public site asks nothing of you either way.
3. The figures and what they mean
Every figure on the site is computed from public Treasury API data by the methods published on our Methodology page, which explains where the data comes from, how each number is built, and what it does and does not mean. The Methodology page is part of these Terms by reference: read the figures with it.
Figures are snapshots of our mirror. They can lag the live server by up to a crawl and can contain errors, and we do not warrant that any figure is current, complete, or correct. No figure is a promise that any price, deal, spread, or stock level is available in-game. Check in-game before you act on a number.
Labels such as casino, gambling, inactive, off-market, and volatile are classifications computed from observed market data by the methods on the Methodology page, applied by the same tests to every shop or item they describe, with hand corrections where review shows the computation misread a listing; the Methodology page discloses that override. The labels describe what our data shows about how a listing trades. They are not findings about any player, and a gambling or casino label in particular asserts nothing about the legality of anyone's business. Section 10 tells you how to have a figure or label reviewed.
4. Not advice
GnomeStats provides data and statistics, not advice. Nothing on the site is investment, trading, or financial advice, and we are not registered as an Investment Bank or any other financial institution, so we do not provide investment advice within the meaning of Commercial Standards Act s9(3). What you do with a number is your decision, made at your own risk.
5. Watchlists, alerts, and your webhook
A signed-in account can watch items, shops, players, and firms, and arm alerts on them. Alerts are delivered to a Discord webhook you supply. A webhook URL is a key: anyone who holds it can post to its channel. Add one only for a channel you control, treat it as a secret, and rotate it in Discord if it leaks. We use your webhook only to deliver the alerts you armed and the test message you can send yourself, and we never write it to our logs.
Alert delivery is best-effort. An alert depends on our crawl schedule, on Discord accepting the message, and on your webhook remaining valid, so alerts can arrive late or not at all, and a missed alert is not a breach of these Terms. You can remove watches and disarm alerts yourself at any time; clearing your webhook is one click on the watchlist page.
6. Acceptable use
The Service is offered for reading the market. You must not:
- probe, attack, overload, or try to reach systems, accounts, or data not offered to you, which DemocracyCraft's own network rules also prohibit;
- scrape or crawl the site at volumes that degrade it for others; programmatic access exists and goes through an API key (section 7);
- use the site or its data to harass or target players;
- present GnomeStats figures as official DemocracyCraft or Redmont government numbers;
- feed the market false signals to game a figure, ranking, or label, or use the Service in aid of market manipulation;
- republish the site's data in bulk as your own work. Quoting figures with attribution is welcome (section 9).
We enforce rate limits and may block traffic that breaks these rules.
7. API access
We grant read-only API keys at our discretion, for the public market mirror only; no account data of any user is reachable through the API. A key identifies its holder, may not be shared or transferred, and can be revoked at any time. For security and capacity we record daily request counts per key and the time and IP address of a key's most recent use, and we keep grant and revocation records after a key is revoked, for as long as the accounts involved exist.
8. Advertising
Pages may carry clearly bounded banner advertisements served by GnomeAds, the estate's ad service on GnomePay. Creatives and landing pages are reviewed before they run, and gambling and banking advertisements are not accepted. An advertisement is the advertiser's statement, not ours, and we do not endorse what it offers. If an ad looks wrong, report it through the Discord link below and we will review it.
9. Intellectual property
The site's compiled statistics, indexes, charts, and text are ours. You may quote figures and take screenshots, with attribution to GnomeStats and a link where practical, but you may not copy the dataset in bulk and pass it off as your own. Item and game content belongs to Mojang and DemocracyCraft, and shop and firm names belong to their owners; the site displays them as market reporting, which the Redmont Civil Code recognises as fair use for commentary and news reporting.
10. Corrections and takedown
If a figure looks wrong, or you want a listing about your shop reviewed, contact us through the Discord link below. We correct genuine errors and review reasonable requests about the public shop data shown here. The Privacy Policy sets out the rights the Privacy Act gives you over personal information, including access and correction.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Redmont law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or the accuracy, completeness, or freshness of any figure, and we are not responsible for the DemocracyCraft server, the Treasury API, Discord, our hosting platform, or the conduct of advertisers.
To the fullest extent permitted by Redmont law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, for lost profits or opportunities, or for trades made or not made in reliance on a figure. GnomeStats is free to use, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 90 days before the claim arose; while the Service remains free, that is nothing.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Redmont law, including our duty of good faith and fair dealing. We do not exclude liability for our own fraud.
12. Suspension and changes
We may change, pause, or discontinue any feature, and we may suspend, restrict, or terminate an account or API key that breaks these Terms, acting reasonably and in good faith. We hold no funds, so no suspension can touch money of yours; your stored data stays covered by the Privacy Policy, and you can ask us to delete it.
We may amend these Terms. We post the current version at this address with its effective date, and continued use after a change takes effect is your acceptance of it.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of the Commonwealth of Redmont. If a dispute arises, contact us first and we will try in good faith to resolve it, and the parties may agree to non-binding mediation. Consistent with the Contracts Act, nothing in these Terms requires binding arbitration or removes your right to bring a matter before the courts of Redmont. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect, and our not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
One ordering sits above this document: DemocracyCraft's network rules and the decisions of its staff bind everyone on the server, GnomeStats included, and prevail over these Terms wherever the two conflict.
You accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy by using GnomeStats; continued use of the site is your agreement to them. Reach us on the estate Discord.
